Black Forest, Chocolate and Jack, Darker than Fudge, 100% Chocolate, Peanut Butter Brickle, Rum and Raisins

From its original sole  location at Raeburn Park, Seventh Heaven has shifted locations numerous times – from Takashimaya to 112 Katong and finally to its present location at Orchard Central.

Our top favorites included:

Chocolate and Jack – With an overpowering taste of whiskey, Chocolate and Jack is definitely not for the faint hearted. In fact, the alcoholic level was getting to us after about 2 scoops. Taste aside, the texture was also sticky and thick, an absolute delight.

Double Sesame – The flavour and fragrance of the black sesame stood out evidently in this ice cream. Almost like the western version of the popular black sesame paste.

Peanut Butter Brickle – Although not as rich as the version at Udders, the Peanut Butter Brickle was still a worthy competitor. The saltiness and the nutty fragrance would be every peanut lover’s delight.

Darker than Fudge – For the true die heart chocolate fans, skip the 100% chocolate ice cream and go straight for the much darker, denser, richer, stickier Darker than Fudge.

Malty Oreos – And for those who enjoy milky oat, together with the oreo crunch, the Malty Oreos is the right choice.

Other worth to try flavours:

Truffle Mint – A representation of the classic “After Eight” delight. The Truffle Mint incorporates the slight tinge of mint into the rich and decadent chocolate ice cream.

Black Forest – Compared to the Rum and Raisins, the Black Forest has a much stronger alcoholic presence. Would be a more decent choice compared to Rum and Raisins. The other remaining alcoholic flavour was the Lychee Martini – which tasted more like lychee sorbet, sorely lacking the taste of martini.

Green Tea – The green tea ice cream was slightly bitter but it surely packed the characteristics flavours of green tea. Together with chunky red beans embedded within, this ice cream flavour would be pleasing to green tea lovers.
