Silky Tofu Pudding

The latest wave of Taiwan cold desserts has washed upon the shores of Singapore. Beans Talk’s signature is its silken tofu pudding with 6 toppings – grass jelly, pinto beans, green beans, red beans, taro balls and roasted peanuts. For $2, this small bowl of silken tofu pudding, packed full of ingredients, was surely value for money.

The crunchiness of the peanuts, chewiness of the taro balls, jelly-like texture of the grass jelly, silky smooth tofu pudding resulted in a multi-textured dessert. Taste wise, the silken tofu pudding wasn’t really one of the best that we have tried. In fact, the taste of soy beans seemed to be overshadowed by a lingering milky taste and fragrance. But what Beans Talk couldn’t match in terms of taste, they compensated in texture, variety and value.
