Osaka Ohsho Gyoza

Osaka Ohsho Gyoza

The King of Gyoza has descended in Singapore! Established in 1969, Osaka Ohsho is touted to be the specialist in handmade gyoza from Osaka. The Osaka Ohsho Gyoza arrived in a plate of 6 ($3.90), with its tantalizing and mouth-watering golden brown crisp. When we flipped the gyoza onto its charred side, the special wanton skin split opened slightly to reveal the dumpling fillings of cabbage, ginger, garlic and pork. The skin was much thinner than most gyoza we have tried. It was soft and easily disintegrated in our mouths. The ginger and garlic toned down the strong characteristic taste of pork. The gyoza was pretty additive, wasn’t all that heavy on the palate. On the downside, the gyoza was a little oily.
