Marks and Spencer After Dinner Liqueur Biscuits

Marks and Spencer After Dinner Liqueur Biscuits is a selection of biscuits topped with different liqueur truffles coated in milk, white and dark chocolate. It contains 9 biscuits with 3 flavours:

White Chocolate Amaretto Biscuit – all butter biscuit, topped with a rich creamy chocolate truffle flavoured with Amaretto liqueur extract, covered in white chocolate and decorated with milk chocolate and caramelized almonds.
Milk Chocolate Irish Cream Liqueur Biscuit – all butter biscuit, topped with a rich creamy chocolate truffle flavoured with Irish Cream liqueur, covered in milk chocolate and decorated with dark chocolate.
Dark Chocolate Cherry Liqueur Biscuit – all butter biscuit, topped with a rich creamy chocolate truffle flavoured with a cherry liqueur, covered in dark chocolate and decorated with white chocolate.

Sadly, the alcoholic flavour and fragrance weren’t quite distinct in the milk and dark chocolate biscuits. For the white chocolate variation, the amaretto was slightly more detectable, no doubt still rather mild. The outer chocolate layer was rather thick and stood a large proportion in terms of flavour and texture, compared to the butter biscuit. The butter biscuit added a complementary crunch to the thick and soft chocolate layer. This after-dinner snack would cater to those with a sweet tooth, in particular a chocolaty one.
