Baker’s Creations

On previous occasions, we’ve found gems in neighbourhood bakeries like Pine Garden, Ikada Bakery, so keeping our fingers crossed, we try a few of Baker’s Creations specialties.

(from left to right) Cheese Tart; Blueberry Pie

Cheese Tart – Texture wise, the cheese filling was very creamy, a stark contrast to that from Patisserie Glace. The cheese taste was barely detectable on first bite, but the slight saltiness emerged after a while. Still, the fillings were more of cream taste, and less of cheese, a major disappointment to us.

Blueberry Pie – This tasted nothing more than ordinary. This pie was made up of artificial blueberry jam filling encased within a decently baked buttery crust.

Walnut Carrot Cake

Walnut Carrot Cake – We didn’t quite appreciate the layer of cream cheese atop the carrot cake. It was more of sweet cream toppings, less of cheese. The carrot cake was rather moist and dense. With the crunchiness from the walnuts, the carrot cake was much appetizing than the cheese tart, but nonetheless it wasn’t something which we would return for.
