Banana Toffee Cake

Banana Toffee Cake

PS. Cafe’s Banana Toffee Cake was more of a dry, banana flavoured sponge cake. Unlike most banana cakes which we have tried, it was lacking in the sticky moist texture. However, we were delighted to find bits of chocolate chips within the sponge. The cake on its own was mediocre but the bitter sweet toffee sauce saved the day. The sauce was rather thick and viscous but not cloyingly sweet. Those with a sweet tooth will definitely find the sponge soaked in the toffee sauce a satisfying treat. It will definitely be more ideal if the cake was served warm.
