Jewels Artisan Chocolates

Courtesy of a Groupon voucher, we were able to purchase 2 boxes of 12 Jewels Artisan Chocolates at $36! Delightful little jewels they were, our 12 choices included the following flavours:
Champagne
Black garlic
Manjari 64%
Pistachio ganache
French nougat
Macallan whisky
Jivara
Hazelnut gianduja
Macadamia
House truffles

Jewels Artisan Chocolates is one of our favourite chocolate brands. In general, the chocolates were smooth and velvety. The champagne and whisky ones were very rich in alcoholic taste. Most of the chocolates were slightly hard on the outside, but the inner fillings were soft and melted in our mouths. It was truly an absolute delight popping these jewels into our mouths. For the nutty ones, including french nougat, hazelnut gianduja, macademia and pistachio, the nuts were crunchy, fresh with the nutty fragrance. One thing to note was their latest introduction – Black garlic. The garlic flavour was rather overwhelming, which totally caught us off guard. It is definitely not for garlic haters and even for those who do not detest garlic, it surely would be an acquired taste.
