Mushrooms and Cheese French Crêpe

We tried the Mushrooms and Cheese French Crêpe from the newly opened Reedz Cafe in NUS. Being our first visit there, we weren’t certain about the standard of food. But looking at the menu, what stood out was the Mushrooms and Cheese French Crêpe.

Going by the looks of it, the crêpe looked more like a pancake. It was too thick to be classified as a crêpe, rather the slightly fluffy and soft texture was similar to that of a pancake. The mushrooms were sauteed before being wrapped in the crêpe with lettuce, carrots and a large dash of mayonnaise. Visual wise, we could not spot any traces of cheese. Taste wise, there was a slight taste of Chesdale cheese at certain portions, but overall, the cheese taste was very faint. The serving of mushrooms was pathetically small as well. The crêpe was served with mashed potato and garden salad. The mashed potato was cold and rather refreshing. The salad was supposedly topped with balsamic vinegar, but the amount added was pretty small.

Well, Reedz Cafe is a pretty convenient and good alternative should one get sick of canteen food.
